Welcome to Steven Boyle…

Steven Boyle We are delighted to announce that Steven Boyle has joined Daniels as our new Key Account Manager in Scotland. Steven has been in medical sales for ten years and has worked in health and social care since 1994.

What is your background?

“I started working as a care assistant in nursing homes then moved on to become a co-ordinator for a nursing/care agency. After doing this for four years I moved roles and became a clinical healthcare assistant for Marie Curie Cancer Care Hospice in Glasgow for another four years. I then went back to college and did a HNC in Social Care and spent a short time working with clients with learning disabilities. After this I started working for the NHS in addiction services where I spent eight years as co-ordinator of the needle exchange service. During my time in the NHS I was trained in phlebotomy and pre/post-test counselling for BBV testing. I also returned to Glasgow University and completed the COSCA Counselling course. That takes us up to 2007 when I started my medical sales career.”

Why did you decide to work for Daniels?

“It’s a longstanding company with a great reputation, great team and a very supportive and forward-thinking management team.”

And how are you settling in so far?

“I’m very impressed with the quality of the products, innovative ideas and the level of support offered by the Daniels team is second to none. It’s a very family-friendly company with an emphasis on supporting staff address the work/family life balance.”

We’re saying a fond farewell to Eric Bridgeford in this blog post, is there anything you’d like to add?

“I have known Eric for 16 years, he used to be my local Daniels Account Manager when I was co-ordinator for an NHS addiction team. Eric has formed and maintained fantastic relationships with ALL of his customers in Scotland – I already know quite a lot of Eric’s customers and every single one of them valued and appreciated his commitment to them throughout his time at Daniels. If I can even go halfway to developing the same level of relationships I will be doing very well. He will be sorely missed by them all and everyone at Daniels. I make a point of catching up with Eric every few weeks and we still regularly meet for coffee and cake.”
