Team Focus: Jill Gallagher, Customer Support Executive
Jill Gallagher is one of four Customer Support Executives in our dedicated Customer Support Team.
She joined the business in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of customer service experience from almost two decades in customer-facing roles.
Jill spends her day helping individuals and NHS trusts with general enquiries, orders and product advice as well as liaising with the production team on delivery and collection dates.
With a love of horses, Jill left school with the dream of becoming a riding instructor and went on to become a live-in groom responsible for the day-to-day care of horses and worked at a local stables grooming, clipping and feeding horses (and of course, mucking out stables!).
After starting a family, Jill decided on a change of direction and was attracted to customer services as she wanted to put her empathy and problem-solving skills to good use.
“I always look at things from the customer’s point of view. Having received poor customer service myself on numerous occasions and understanding how frustrating it can be, I wanted a career which meant I could help other people and provide advice, support and resolution to make people’s lives easier.”
A typical day for Jill includes processing orders, keeping customers up-to-date and dealing with queries. She says: “The customers I work with are great and understand the order process. And if they don’t know what they need, I’ll help them to find the right product and keep them in the loop every step of the way.
“I work in a very tight-knit, supportive team and it’s a great environment to work in – there’s never been a day where I haven’t looked forward to going to work!”.
Jill lives with her son Christopher in Littleborough, a short walk from the office. In her spare time, Jill upcycles furniture, loves to walk her Chihuahua Beau, and enjoys getting together with friends for Tapas. And she still rides horses when she can.
She says her colleagues would describe her as reliable, helpful and cheerful.
