Team Focus: Lee Hawksworth, Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator

Lee Hawksworth is our Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator, providing efficient, consistent and orderly warehousing and logistics services.

Since joining in 2017, Lee has become a central linchpin in our distribution unit, ensuring the smooth running and coordination of our supply chain, which is essential in fulfilling customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.

Lee says: “On a typical day, first thing in a morning I’ll collect loading updates from despatch and check everything is as planned. Should there be any changes or issues, I’ll resolve these as swiftly as possible, working with my dedicated colleagues, and despatch all the orders due out that day”.

She is also in control of planning loads and volume, booking and allocating transport and the export control for orders shipped across the world: “Orders could be heading to the closest city a few miles away, or further afield in Europe. We also ship as far as Australia. I work closely with the Mauser Logistics Manager in Holland, as well as the loaders, warehouse staff and logistics admin team which I manage here on site; we work brilliantly as a team together,” says Lee.

Before life at Mauser, Lee gained an Administration and Customer Services NVQ straight from school and worked as an apprentice helping people to claim benefits and get back into employment. Then, with 18 years’ experience at a major food distribution company behind her, she brought her skills and knowledge to Mauser.

Outside of work, Lee lives with her husband, two daughters Emma and Evie, and her 17-year-old cat Alice. She enjoys playing darts, travelling to her property in Bulgaria, singing (badly in her words!) and listening to music – especially country music.
