Product Description

Our SHARPSGUARD® yellow 0.6 is ideal for community healthcare workers, it is designed to fit in the DANIELS® community nursing container and easily fitted into a bag or glove compartment.

This is the next evolution of the SHARPSGUARD® container, offering a sustainable alternative made from 40% recycled plastic.

This container is for the disposal of sharps that have been contaminated with medicinal products.

Whilst in use this container should be positioned safely using a base plate 0.6, small wall or trolley bracket from our Point Of Use Disposal System® range, suitable accessories for this container are detailed below.

It is for disposal by incineration or other authorised process and is for the consignment of waste categorised by EWC codes: 18 01 01, 18 01 03*, 18 01 09, 18 02 01, 18 02 02*, 18 02 08.

Usage

How to assemble the lid

This container is supplied with the lid assembled. Details on how to lock the container and keep the users and contents safe can be found on the label.

Completing the label

Once container is assembled, fill in the completion area on the label with site, area, and name and start date
When container is locked, ready for disposal, finalise the completion area with name and close date

 

 

How to dispose of a sharps

 

Dispose of sharps by dropping them into the container with the needle facing away from you
