Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Mauser UK Ltd. is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions no later than 2050. The company engages in intensive collaboration throughout its supply chain to expedite this goal where feasible.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Scope 2: 0 tCO2e (100% biomass-based electricity)
Scope 3: 14,399 tCO2e (Selected Category – Plastics Converted)
Total Current Emissions: 14,489 tCO2e

Emissions reduction targets

Mauser UK Ltd. targets a reduction in carbon emissions of approximately 20% by 2030 compared to the 2020 baseline emissions. By the end of 2024, the company has achieved a carbon emissions reduction of approximately 30% (~6,225 tCO2e) against the 2020 baseline.

Key Initiatives Implemented:

Transitioning to 100% biomass-based electricity supply.
Substitution of virgin plastic feedstock with post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics.
Adoption and promotion of electric and hybrid company vehicles.
Achievement and annual renewal of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) certifications.
Continuous improvement via lifecycle assessment (LCA) capabilities for product
carbon footprints.

Planned Future Initiatives:

Expansion of carbon emissions reporting to include broader Scope 3 emissions.
Increasing the utilization of recycled materials.
Further electrification and transition towards renewable energy.
Stronger collaboration with suppliers to set and improve their carbon reduction
targets.
Encouraging customers’ collaboration on carbon-neutral packaging solutions.
Increased local UK-based production to reduce transportation emissions.
