Daniels Healthcare: Service Update
Over the past week, we have once again continued to streamline the production of our core range and to work on the 350 non-core production lines.
The commitment we made several weeks ago to deliver our core range of SHARPSGUARD® sharps containers within 10 working days is going well. We are meeting the target in almost all cases.
We are also improving our delivery times for most lines of our non-core products.
There is still more to do after months of disruption to get our service back to the standards we want to be known for. We remain committed to communicating openly with all our customers about the issues we face.
As progress is now likely to be steady and incremental, we think this is the right time to change the tempo of our communications, to update by exception.
Rather than a weekly update to all customers, we will communicate when there is something specific to say to all our customers, or when we need to update specific customers or groups on a particular issue.
For instance, for orders of our non-core products we will now return to our previous practice of notifying customers individually on their delivery times, which vary depending on the complexity of the production build.
I want to thank all our customer for sticking with us through the difficulties of the past months. And all my colleagues in the Daniels and Mauser businesses who have worked so tirelessly to try and overcome these difficulties.
When we first talked to customers about merging the Daniels and Mauser operations we said the move would deliver a better service overall. Despite the experience of recent months, we do still believe that will prove to be the case.
We do hope all our customers will continue to give us their honest feedback about how we are doing and what we could do better. That is how we can improve.
