Team Focus: Barrie Rolls, Local Sales Support, South of England
This is part of a series of posts where we introduce each member of the Daniels Healthcare team, from across the organisation. We have a compliment of approximately 90+ staff members who all live and breathe the ethos of Daniels and you’ll get to meet many of them in this series.
Barrie has been working in the healthcare industry and visiting customers in hospitals around the UK for more than 30 years. He joined Daniels Healthcare in 2004 and his current role is supporting customers across the South of England.
Barrie works with customers up and down the country from Chichester to Peterborough, Norwich to Stoke Mandeville and of course, London.
“I’m usually on the road, visiting NHS customers at least three days a week and also visit private hospitals, helping them improve their infection control compliance through auditing, training and presentations,” says Barrie.
He adds: “I really enjoy being in front of our customers and I like to make the training and presentations lively, interesting and fun. I get the greatest job satisfaction from seeing them implement the ideas, processes and products which have a positive impact on staff and patients alike.”
Barrie has been married for more than 50 years and has a son, daughter, three grandsons, two granddaughters and two great grandchildren. As well as enjoying spending time with his family and pet budgerigar called Pip, Barrie’s hobbies include wood turning, pyrography (decorating wood by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point), photography and walking.
